Change In Interest Rate
Beginning January 1, 2017, the rate of interest accruing on underpayments of taxes collected by the Tax Commissioner is 8 percent. The rate of interest accruing on overpayments of tax and on public contracts is 6.5 percent beginning January 1, 2017.
